Conference Proceedings

The Eberly College of Science at Penn State University welcomes participants to this inaugural conference of the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos (IGC).

The IGC builds on the strong foundation established by the Institute for Gravitational Physics and Geometry over the past decade. The new institute will integrate the theoretical and observational research carried out in its three centers: the Center for Fundamental Theory, the Center for Gravitational Wave Physics, and the Center for Particle Astrophysics. From quantum cosmology to new observational windows, we seek greater understanding of the universe and its extreme events. This inaugural conference is an opportunity for participants to share their insights and to help set the course for our institute's new endeavors.

If you are interested in attending the IGC Inaugural conference, please register.

Plenary speakers:
Jim Cronin, Karsten Danzmann, Thomas Gaisser, Slava Mukhanov,
Roger Penrose, Joseph Polchinski, Frans Pretorius, Trevor Weekes, Cliff Will
