Dr. Benjamin J. Owen
, from the Unversity of Wisconsin at Milwaukee has joined the Center as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Owen received his Ph.D. from Caltech and has done post-doctoral work at the Albert Einstein Institute. He has worked on a wide variety of problems in gravitational wave physics, including data analysis issues, the post-Newtonian approximation and the physics and astrophysics of R-modes.

"My main research interest is the detection of gravitational waves. People call this relativity, but I wind up doing most of physics except relativity.

For those who want the technical details, I maintain a list of publications.
For some more digestible tidbits, see my research pages.
I've also collected a few news clippings."
